Terms & Conditions

SECOND OPINION ELECTRIC – PAYMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS

By authorizing Second Opinion Electric to perform work at your property, you (the “Customer”) agree to the following payment terms, conditions, and service-related policies.


1. Authorization & Payment Agreement
  • A 50% deposit is required upon signing and approving the estimate.

  • The remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the work.

  • Failure to pay within 10 days may result in interest and collection fees.


2. Late Payment & Interest Charges
  • 1.5% per month (18% annually) will be applied to all overdue balances.

  • Interest continues to accrue until balance is paid in full.


3. Returned Payments & NSF Checks

If a check is returned or does not clear, the Customer is liable for:

  • The face value of the check

  • Bank fees

  • Court costs and penalties as allowed by law


4. Collection & Legal Fees

If legal action is required, the Customer agrees to pay:

  • Reasonable attorney’s fees

  • Filing fees, court costs, and collection expenses

  • All disputes will be governed by the laws of the State of Florida


5. Cancellation & Refund Fees
  • 20% cancellation fee on all approved jobs

  • 3% refund fee on payments made by credit card

  • 5% restocking fee on returned or unused parts/equipment

  • Permit fees are non-refundable


6. Property Conditions & Additional Work

If unforeseen conditions are discovered:

  1. Contract price will be adjusted to reflect actual costs

  2. Completion timeline will be extended as needed


7. Equipment & Materials

Unless otherwise specified, all removed parts and equipment become the property of Second Opinion Electric.


8. Service Standards

All work will be performed in compliance with:

  • Local, state, and federal laws

  • Industry standards and safety codes

  • Proper workmanship protocols


9. Entire Agreement

This document, together with any signed estimates or work orders, forms the entire agreement between the Customer and Second Opinion Electric. No verbal agreements supersede the written terms.
